Fully Funded: An Update on Your Gift for COVID-19 Relief in Mexico


Life was already difficult for the more than 52 million Mexican citizens living in poverty. When COVID-19 swept through their lives last spring, “difficult” quickly became “desperate.” As government quarantine mandates were implemented, countless caregivers, whose low-wage jobs comprised their families’ sole means of support, lost even those meager resources. “My family was going through a severe crisis because my father lost his job, which resulted in food shortages for my home,” says 16-year-old Ervin. Tragically, Ervin’s statement could be echoed by thousands of other Compassion-assisted children and youth.
